TASTY GROUND CHICKEN PASTA SAUCE

Found this guy on the internet. It used powdered stuff in the recipe. It's really fast and damn good. SERVES 2 MAYBE

14oz can of crushed tomatoes

⅓ - ½ lb ground chicken

About ⅓ cup water

2 cloves garlic

1 teaspoon oregano

½ an onion

1 teaspoon red pepper flakes

A pinch of salt, a pinch of black pepper

15 fennel seeds

⅓ cup fresh basil

Pasta. Rigatone, campanelle, or penne are recommended

Cook the ground chicken in a skillet. Set aside the basil and add all ingredients to the chicken and bring to a boil. Turn the heat to low and simmer for 15-20 minutes. Add additional water if the sauce gets too thick.

Boil water for pasta and cook pasta.

Combine basil with the sauce for last 5 minutes of cooking.

Grate parmesan on top before serving. Microplanes/zesters are perfect for parmesan.
